Paxton Key is an app for managing the access to your building or car park, allowing you to open or deny access to the building based on a smart token, sent to your smartphone via Bluetooth®. The token is generated by a Paxton reader, which is a device that can be mounted to a wall and connected to a wireless network. The app will then generate a random password and save it to the device. The app will then ask you to enter the password, which you can do by using the virtual key on your smartphone or smartwatch. The app will save the token for future use.
When you want to open or deny access to a building, all you need to do is send the token to the reader, which will grant or deny access to the building. The app also allows you to make use of the built-in Bluetooth® wireless technology in the Paxton readers, to communicate with the Paxton system and send the command to open or deny access to a building.
